Solanum melongena
This early variety was introduced to us by local plant breeder and plant person Telsing Andrews, who has selected and adapted this population for our northern growing conditions. The plants have a compact growth habit, don't require any staking and are highly ornamental in appearance as well as being super productive, producing an abundance of small to medium-sized, oval-shaped, deep purple fruits that are rich in flavour. Easy to grow and great for cooking and frying. We continue selecting it for earliness and productivity. 50 days to maturity.
