Elka Poppy

Papaver somniferum

A tall, lavender-white, single flower poppy that produces white seeds with a nutty flavour, giving your homemade poppy seed bagel a bit of nutty pizazz! And if pizazz is not enough, the ventless seed pods make collecting the seed really easy - just flip the browned pods and shake into your hand or container. (I love that we got to use 'pizazz' twice in this description) Great grown in combination with Red Bread Seed Poppy. Originally from Slovakia.
