Aleppo Hot Pepper

Capsicum annuum

A Syrian heirloom variety gaining in popularity named after the town of Aleppo, these beauties produced an abundant harvest this season of 4" long fruits that ripened from green to red. On the milder side of the Scoville heat unit chart, we find it similar but a tad bit spicier than a jalapeno pepper. Typically used as dried flakes or powder in Middle Eastern cuisine, it makes for a delicious addition of flavour with a bit of spice! 85 days to maturity.
