Bunching onion/scallion type with very upright growth habit. Dark green leaves and tender white onions have a mild flavour. A favourite variety of some of our Kingston area market gardeners; 60-70 days to maturity.
In the kitchen
Blitz your green onions with olive oil, a fresh herb of choice, a little parmesan cheese and salt and pepper. Toss your green onion pesto with chopped hard boiled eggs and serve on toast. Try it with anchovy filets.
