A green shelling pea named after the Wando river in South Carolina in 1943, these vines reach up 3' and perform best when trellised. The plants produce sweet green peas in 3-4" pods that are ideal shelling for fresh eating or freezing. Wando exhibits cold tolerance and heat tolerance. We planted them late the last day of June in 2018 in a notably hot and dry summer and they still performed well! 68 days to maturity.
