A winter smoothie booster! Smooth, tender, flat green leaves have a mild tangy flavour that is excellent for fresh eating in salads. Plant in the early spring for either baby greens or an ongoing summer harvest; can be planted up until mid-August for a fall crop. Excess leaves can be quickly blanched and frozen to add to winter soups and smoothies. Unlike most kales, this variety is an annual and will bolt in its first year of growing. 60 days to maturity.
