A succulent cold-hardy spring green that is just lovely as a salad. Self-seeded in our hoophouse, it is now the first greens we harvest after winter and one of our first signs of spring. It is best eaten at 3-4" and lends itself well to multiple cuttings; the plants will then grow to form a rosette with a tiny white flower in the centre before producing seed. A native to the west coast of North America, it favours cool, damp conditions. 40 days to maturity.
