This variety has large, deep maroon and chartreuse leaves with a sharp, spicy flavour that is great for enlivening salads. When cooked in a stir-fry or soup, the flavour mellows. Also the cooler the weather, the milder the zing. If you're growing in Ontario, we suggest covering with Remay or netting at time of planting to prevent flea beetles damage. 40 to 50 days to maturity.
